Editor's review
This tool is a CAD package for Civil survey engineers.
ESurvey CAD 10.20 helps create contours on maps easily. It will help generate sections for volume generation. Earthwork quantities (quantity takeoff) can be calculated, and point data can be converted into topographic maps. The topodraw module gives you capabilities of importing point data in CSV format or drawing. It lets you import blocks (a set of elements) from another CAD drawing. You will be able to export code and point data in different layers of the drawing by choosing the ones you want to. You will be able to generate data for Total Station survey tools from CAD drawing. Autoconnect codes can be sent selectively. Contour-related functions available are many. Import of data in CSV, Excel or CAD for contour generation is possible. Contours can be generated directly within the CAD environment. Sections could be easily drawn for any alignment fixed on the contour map. Contour area and contour volume could be generated quickly based on the boundary and specific levels. Annotation of contours, their endpoints, midpoints, selected points and specified intervals.
This is a tool that is easy to use. People from the AutoCAD background will have no difficulty at all moving to this tool and using it effectively. For earthwork too, you will be able to import data and generate section drawings and complete the earthwork calculation. These calculations can be carried out for fixed formation levels or between two surfaces. Interim earthwork reports can be generated during progress of the project. Quantity take-off calculations are done by trapezoidal or block method. Depth of cut or depth of fill is used to report earthwork calculation. This is a very good and handy tool.
